Description
The stable block, located 25 metres south-east of Stubbs Farmhouse, dates from the early 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of brick and stone, topped with a hipped tile roof. The building is rectangular and two storeys high. The west side features a timber frame with malmstone infill, which is partly boarded, sitting above a brick base. The east side is made of brickwork in Monk bond above English bond, with cambered openings. The windows are casements, and there are boarded doors, including a doorway on the east wall that provides access to the upper floor from a higher ground level. A stone plaque on the east side is inscribed with "TWP 1817." The building is currently used as a store.
