Description
Headmore Farmhouse is a cottage that dates from the 17th century, with later additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. The upper part of the building features exposed frame construction with brick infill and other walling, set on a stepped brick plinth above a flint base. The brick walls on the north side are built in Flemish Garden wall bond from the 19th century, while the south side is constructed in stretcher bond from the 20th century. The cottage has a thatched roof that is steeply hipped at each end and includes eyebrow dormers. The lobby-entrance is a timber-framed structure with extensions at each end, and the east elevation has one storey and an attic with three casement windows. There is a plain doorway located beneath a wide tiled hood supported by posts.
