Description

This is a cottage dating back to the 16th century, which was refaced in the 18th century. The right-hand side wall shows an exposed timber frame with large timbers, set on an 18th-century brick plinth. The front is faced with flint and has red brick dressings. The left side is covered in corrugated iron sheeting. The roof is now clad in corrugated iron, featuring a central brick chimneystack. The cottage is one storey high with attics, and has two windows, as well as dormers to the attics. The windows are boarded but are set within 18th-century brick surrounds. A plank door is located on the left side, along with a brick stringcourse and end quoins secured with an S-shaped iron brace. A further plank door is present on the right-hand side elevation. A lean-to extension constructed of flint and brick adjoins the left side elevation.
