Description
The fountain, located 75 meters east of Avington House, dates from the late 18th century and was restored in 1983. It is made of Coade stone, with repairs in Portland stone. The fountain features an octagonal bowl supported by stepped buttresses at each corner. The lower section has trefoiled blind arcading with offsets, while the upper part consists of pairs of traceried panels that display shields featuring the arms of Grenville and Buckingham, topped with moulded coping. At the center, there is a foliage fountain head.
