Description

This is an early 19th-century tower mill, now used as a dwelling. It was restored, adapted, and extended in the late 20th century. The mill is constructed of painted brickwork with cambered openings, and has a metal-covered roof in an ogee shape. It is a circular building of three storeys, with a modern single-storey wing attached. The original small openings are fitted with casements, but other openings have larger casements and French windows. The main entrance is located in the wing. The restoration work included the addition of traditional sails, although these lack individual slats and are fixed in place. The mill occupies the site of earlier mills, which had been present since medieval times.
