Description
Two timber drying sheds, dating from circa 1908-9 and designed by Geoffrey Lupton, are located fronting Cockshott Lane. These are open timber box-framed structures with tiled roofs. Shed 1 is open at the front and rear, and its returns feature shaped timber slats. It has a hipped tiled roof with a gabled dormer containing a small door on the front elevation. Shed 2 is also open at the front, with arcaded timber posts to the returns and weatherboarded rear. It has a pitched tiled roof with a weatherboarded gable and a small door on the front elevation, and includes a later western extension. The sheds are included in the listing for their group value.
