Description
The gate posts of the Wood Yard Gates to Petworth House are located on North Street. These gate piers flank the entrance to the former garage of Petworth House. They likely date back to the medieval period of Petworth House or at least to the house built between 1576 and 1621. The gate piers are made of stone rubble and feature circular shapes with a cornice and a bluntly-pointed top.
