Description
Preyste Cottages is a building that has been converted from one house into three cottages. The original structure dates back to the 15th century or earlier and was an L-shaped, timber-framed hall-house. The southernmost cottage was added in the 18th century. The building has a gable at the north end, with the northern half faced in cement and the southern half constructed from stone rubble. It features a tiled roof and casement windows, and it stands two storeys tall with an attic in the gable. There are four windows in total. Inside, the cottages have a crown post roof. At the time of the survey, the cottages were empty and in a state of disrepair.
