Description
Barn House is a building that was originally a barn, dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The entire structure is surrounded by a wall made of malmstone ashlar, featuring a plinth on the long west side. There are ventilation slots, with 24 remaining on the east side and fewer on the west side. At the north end, there are brick buttresses. The building has a steep hipped slate roof, with some windows that follow the slope of the roof. Inside, there is an original timber-framed truss. The northern section of the building has a similar roof form but is covered in red felt tiles. The overall structure is long and rectangular, now divided into three sections: the southernmost section has been converted into a dwelling, the central section serves as a garden, and the northernmost section is used as a garage or workshop.
