Description
The former stables to Antioch House, now used as garages, were built in 1818. The structure features knapped flint with some rubble stone and red brick banding, along with red brick quoins and dressings. It has boxed eaves beneath a plain tiled roof. There are two small openings with segmental heads on the left and left of centre, a wide blocked segment-headed archway to the right of centre, and a smaller blocked segment-headed doorway with a keystone dated '1818' to the left of centre. A boarded stowage door is located to the right of centre, positioned under the eaves. The building is angled around a shallow bend on Rotten Row, and the left third may have been added later, as indicated by a double quoin. The rear has a deep catslide roof with later 20th-century garage doors. This building is included for its group value.
