Description

This is a tombstone located 11 metres south of the church in Buriton, dating from the mid-18th century. The headstone features a carved relief at the top, surrounded by outer scrollwork that extends down each side, resembling drapery with diminishing folds. The central section displays a bowl of fruit, flanked by cherub heads. The inscription on the tombstone refers to William Binsted and is dated 1775.
