Description

The boundary stone located 400 yards southwest of Stanley Farmhouse is a rectangular stone about one foot high. It is inscribed on three sides with the names and dates: 'I M 2697' for John Maidman, 'R D 1791' for Roger Sotter, and 'R L 1802' for Richard Loffe. This stone is situated partially in the parish of Linch and is found in a very remote area within a wood. It can be accessed by a ride through the wood, which branches off from a secluded cart-track or private drive leading to Stanley Farm.
