Description
Longwood Dean Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house, with the date "1840" inscribed on a tablet. It features a late 19th-century addition. The building is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a slate roof. It is a three by three bay structure, with an additional two by one bay section and a full-height porch.
The garden front is two stories high, with a central gabled projecting porch that has a tablet in the gable and a 20th-century double door set in a pointed brick arch below. On either side of the porch are mid-19th-century 16-pane sash windows, each set in openings with a Dutch arch and lowered sill. Above these, there are three small 16-pane sash windows. The facade features a string course and a brick plinth band, along with bands at the bottom, center, and top of the windows. To the right, there is a set-back late 19th-century full-height porch that is open on the ground floor, with a 12-pane sash window above it. Behind and to the right of the porch is a service range.
