Description

The barn at Lancen Farm is a structure dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and sits on a rubble flint plinth, topped with a corrugated iron roof and a tiled porch. The barn consists of five bays, with a mistrey in the center bay, a porch at the rear, and an open bay at the front. Inside, one half of the barn has a 17th-century timber queen strut roof, which includes curved struts and large braces to the posts, while the rest of the barn has an 18th-century queen post roof.
