Description

Franklin Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1600, originally built with a timber frame and later clad in the early 19th century. It has undergone renovations in the 20th century, including a rear extension. The walls are made of brick in Flemish Garden Wall bond, and the roof is hipped and covered with tiles, featuring a shafted stack. The house is two storeys high and has five windows. The 20th-century casements and plain doorways include one doorway with a hood. Much of the original timber frame is still visible inside.
