Description

The base of the Town Mill is a 19th-century structure located at the foot of Race Hill in Lewes, where the mill was relocated from Pipe Passage in 1835. It is constructed of painted brick and features a tiled roof. The building has a tall, battered octagonal shape topped with an octagonal roof. Broken cast-iron brackets are visible at the eaves, indicating the former level of a walkway around the mill. On the west side, there are two segment-headed openings, and a 20th-century garage door is present on the ground floor to the east.
