Description
122 and 123 High Street are a pair of cottages built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the late 19th century. The ground floor features a chequer pattern of red and blue bricks, while the first floor has mathematical tiling, except for the left of center which has plain tile-hanging. The roof is plain tiled with a parapet on the right side and two hipped dormers. The buildings are two storeys high with attics and present a regular three-window front. There are splayed bays on the first floor flanking a central glazing bar sash window. On the ground floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows and two doorways, each with cornice hoods supported by brackets. The doorway on the left (No 122) is panelled, while the one on the right (No 123) is half-glazed. A lower central gateway with a boarded gate is set under a segmental arch.
