Description
The table tomb located 14 metres north of the church in Froxfield is a Grade II listed structure from the mid-18th century. It is a rectangular stone tomb featuring a cornice moulding on the cap, which is adorned with a circular carved device. Each corner of the tomb is decorated with coupled fluted pilasters that have moulded caps and bases, along with a moulded base. The panels of the tomb are framed with oval designs and include putti heads. One end of the tomb has an inserted brass plaque bearing the name Richard Love (1722), while the other end showcases a carved heraldic device. This tomb marks the grave of Robert Love.
