Description

Upper House Farmhouse is a late 17th and early 18th century farmhouse situated in Ramsdean. The walls are of roughly-coursed malmstone with brick dressings, including quoins, some chamfered reveals, and a high plinth step. The rear section is constructed of English bond brickwork, with smaller sections of Flemish and Flemish Garden Wall bonds, and some cambered heads. Some features have been altered. The roof is tiled and half-hipped, with a north gable. The east front has two storeys and an attic, displaying four windows, with a doorway positioned beneath a simple gable on posts. One bay has been splayed and contains Victorian sash windows. Casement windows are also present.
