Description
Castle Goring Cottages, specifically No 12, is likely from the late 18th century. It is a long, narrow two-storey building with a steep tiled roof and rendered walls. The entrance features a lean-to porch supported by slender wooden posts, leading to a doorway with a light above it. On the upper storey, there is a three-light casement window, while the lower storey has a six-light casement bay window with lattice glazing bars. Additionally, there is a two-light casement window located between the porch and the left-hand bay. To the right of the main structure, beyond the ridge chimney, there is a later addition that includes a single-light casement window on each floor. This cottage is part of a group that includes Nos 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13, with Nos 8, 9, and 10 being of local interest only.
