Description
Grindslow House is a house dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and features stone slate roofs with stone coped gables. The house has two stone gable end stacks and two ridge stacks, and it stands two storeys high.
The south elevation consists of five bays, with a central gabled bay that is recessed and includes a doorway with a segmental arch and narrow windows on either side. The door is a 19th-century half-glazed type, and above it is a glazing bar sash window, along with an ogee arched lancet window in the gable. To the right of the central bay, there is a glazing bar sash window on each floor, as well as a mid-19th-century canted bay featuring tripartite glazing bar sashes. The roof space includes two gabled dormers.
On the left side of the central bay, there is a tripartite mullioned window with glazing bar sashes, along with a smaller tripartite window above it. Further left, there is another glazing bar sash window located on the upper floor.
