Description

The outbuilding located to the southeast of Gratton Grange Farmhouse is an open-fronted cart shed built in 1853. It is constructed from coursed gritstone with heavily-tooled dressings and features quoins, flat coped gables, a narrow eaves band, and a plain tiled roof. The structure is single storey and consists of four bays, supported by columns that exhibit heavy rock-faced rustication. Massive stone lintels span the columns, with the center pair inscribed with 'WTP 1853 IT'.
