Description
Intake Farmhouse and Cottage consists of two cottages built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from watershot hammer-dressed stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. Each cottage is one bay wide, single-depth, and has three storeys. The entrances are located in the gables; the left entrance is obscured by a 20th-century single-storey wing, while the right has a small porch. The cottages have quoins and 6-light recessed flat-faced stone mullion windows with king mullions on the ground and first floors, and a 4-light window on the second floor, which was used as a workshop. There are gable chimney stacks, and the sides and rear include 2 and 3-light windows. The rear also features two 20th-century windows and a 20th-century bow window.
