SK 26 SW PARISH OF STANTON IN THE PEAK MAIN STREET 4/59 (South Side) Terrace retaining walls and steps to east of Stanton Hall GV II

Terrace retaining walls and steps. Probably c1799. Coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings. Two coursed squared gritstone retaining walls one above the other, with flat copings and quoins. Flight of steps towards north end of each wall with urns to either side, fluted in the body and gadrooned to bases and tops. Similar urns at southern end of each wall. Included for group value only.
