Description

Little Hill Cottage is a pair of houses that have been combined into one dwelling. It likely has an 18th-century core but was refronted in the early 19th century. The exterior features cement render on limestone with roofs made of Welsh slate and stone slate. The building is two storeys high and has a two-window range. There are two near-central doorways with part-glazed doors, which are sheltered by a canopy supported by shaped brackets and adorned with a trefoil-pierced frieze and a slated roof. On the right side, there is an 8/8 sash window with a stone sill and lintel, and a 6/6 sash window above it. The left side is set higher and includes a side-passage door on the far left and a three-light casement window beneath the 6/6 sash, featuring a projecting stone sill. Double doors leading to the upper floor on the left are accessed by a raised pavement from Church Alley. There is a small brick stack at the left end, while the right part of the roof is covered with stone slate and has a brick stack. The interior has not been inspected.
