Description
Wesleyan Chapel is a non-conformist chapel that has been converted into a house. It was rebuilt in 1821 and is constructed from coursed stone with flush quoin dressings and a hipped blue tile roof. The building has a nearly square plan and features a three-storey, three-window front. The entrance is located on the first floor and is accessed by paired flights of stairs that run parallel to the front. The windows include glazing bar sashes and casements on the ground floor. The entrance has late 20th-century double-panelled doors and is topped by a carved painted stone plaque with pilasters and a Tudor arch that frames an inset inscription. The chapel is two bays deep, with the ground floor set into the hillside. It was converted into a dwelling at the time of the resurvey in June 1984.
