Description
Cratcliff Cottage is a house and barn that share a continuous roof, with the barn now incorporated into the house. It dates from the late 18th century and has had some alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared gritstone with similar dressings, and features a plain tile roof with stone gable ends and ridge stacks, as well as stone coped gables with moulded kneelers.
The structure is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a two-bay barn to the west and a single-bay addition to the east. The central doorcase is flush and features a glazed panelled door, with 2-light flush mullion windows with 20th-century casements on either side, and two similar windows above. There is also a flush doorcase with a 20th-century door to the west, beyond which are garage doors. Above these, there are two 20th-century windows in the former hayloft openings.
Attached to the east side of the house is a small single-bay addition that has a doorcase with a plank door to the east, and to the west, there is a flight of steps leading up to a similar doorcase and door.
