Description
Croft Cottages, consisting of Nos. 1 and 2, is a house that has been converted into two separate homes. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone some alterations. The building is constructed from sandstone and limestone rubble and features a stone slate roof.
On the exterior, it is two storeys high with a four-window arrangement, laid out in a 1:1:2 pattern, where the central section projects forward and is covered by a catslide roof. There are some quoins visible. The projection includes a 20th-century six-panel door set in an ashlar surround. The windows on the right side of each floor and in the other bays have projecting stone sills and consist of 8/8 sash windows within ashlar surrounds. The building has stone stacks at both ends and a ridge stack located to the right of the second bay. The left gable is splayed.
At the rear-left corner, there is an attached outbuilding that also has a stone slate roof. The interior has not been inspected.
