Description

Bridge Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It features roughcast walls with ashlar sandstone dressings, and a side wing constructed from coursed sandstone, all topped with stone slate roofs. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range, with a single-storey, two-window range side wing on the left.

The main façade includes square-faced, two-light mullioned windows fitted with wooden casements that have six and eight panes. To the left of the centre, there is a doorway with a door made up of four vertical panels that are pierced by lozenge-shaped lights, framed by a painted stone surround and topped with a wooden cornice supported by shaped brackets. The gables feature shaped kneelers and ashlar copings, and there is a rock-faced stone ridge stack located to the right of the centre. The side wing mirrors the main house's style, with a coped end gable and a central ridge stack.

On the right side, there is a 19th-century ashlar canted bay window at ground level, which contains sashes with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
