Description

Milford Bridge is a bridge built in the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed from ashlar sandstone and features limestone rubble in the spandrels. The bridge has a small hump-backed design with a segmental arch and a peaked band beneath the parapet, which is formed by two deep courses of ashlar. The parapet ends at round-headed piers on the north side, while the south end, facing Castle Street, has short returns of coped walling. The bridge spans the canalized tailrace to Victoria Mill, located near the point where the waters return to the River Wye.
