Description
Musden Grange and the attached stable are a farmhouse and stable built in the 18th century, with some additions made in the mid-19th century. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble, featuring ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a plain tile roof. It has a brick integral end stack and ridge stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, with the main range oriented north-west to south-east, facing south-west, and the stable attached to the north-west in the same alignment. A rear wing projects from the south-east end of the house.
The farmhouse is two storeys tall with an attic, and it has rusticated quoins of varying lengths on the right side. It consists of three bays with chamfered mullioned windows. The ground floor windows have straight dripstones, with the right and centre windows featuring two lights and a three-light cross-window, respectively. The first floor has a single-light window inserted in the centre and a door on the left with an ovolo-moulded surround and dripstone. The stable has a central loft door accessed by stone steps, with a small window to the right of the door.
