Description

Park House is an early 19th-century house located on the north side of Main Road in the parish of Edensor. It is constructed from coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings and features a plain tile roof with coped gables and plain kneelers. The house has paired ashlar gable stacks and is two storeys high. The double fronted south elevation includes a central doorway with a stone surround and a bracketed stone hood, leading to a panelled door. This doorway is flanked by glazing bar sash windows in plain stone surrounds, with two similar windows located above. Park House is notable as the only surviving cottage from the old village of Edensor, which was relocated by the Sixth Duke of Devonshire.
