Description
Tosson Tower is a ruined tower house dating from the 14th century. It features squared facing stones with a rubble core, and all four walls stand to approximately 20 feet, except for the southeast corner, which has collapsed. Many of the facing stones were removed in the 18th century.
On the south side, there is an inner jamb and impost of a later ground-floor doorway. The ground-floor window on the west side has splayed inner reveals. Inside, the springing of the ground-floor vault is visible, and on the left floor, there is a mural chamber made of well-dressed stone. The tower is roofless.
