Description

This boundary stone, dating from 1790, is located approximately 300 yards northeast of Simonside Summit. It is made of sandstone ashlar and stands about 2 feet tall. One side of the stone is inscribed with "DP," representing the Duke of Portland, while the opposite side features "DN," for the Duke of Northumberland.
