Description
Lynn Cottage, Boulby Cottage, and Hilda Cottage are a row of 18th-century cottages located on the east side of High Street in Staithes. They are constructed of stone and feature a pantiled roof with stone-coped gable ends. The cottages are two storeys high with attics and have a total of six windows, which include a mix of late 19th-century sash windows, canted bays, and some modern windows. The doors consist of one six-panel and one four-panel door, both with oblong fanlights. Hilda Cottage has a modern door featuring a stained glass panel of a ship, situated in a gabled porch. Lynn Cottage is distinguished by a gabled dormer with a bargeboard. These cottages are included as part of a picturesque group at the west end of High Street.
