Description

The gate piers and garden wall located approximately three and a half metres east of Midge Hall date from the late 18th century. The gate piers are made of tooled sandstone and stand about 1.35 metres high, featuring "Gothick" shaped caps. The wall is constructed from roughly dressed sandstone and rises to approximately 1.1 metres, topped with flat coping. An inscribed stone on the left gate post reads: SNEATON LORDSHIP.
