Description

Guidestone is a monument dating from around 1720, made of sandstone. It is a roughly rectangular monolith that stands approximately 1.56 meters high.

The west face features the inscription "ROAD TO KIRB YMOOR SIDE R.B" along with a pointing hand and some indecipherable text. The north face has the inscription "ROAD TO GIS BRO UGH" with a pointing hand. The east face reads "ROAD TO: PIC KRIN:O/R: MAL TON:" also accompanied by a pointing hand. The south face simply has the letters "RW".
