Description
Westfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with extensions added in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, along with alterations in the mid-19th and 20th centuries. The front is made of squared limestone, while the sides and rear are constructed from coursed rubble, featuring tooled quoins. The roof is covered with pantiles and has brick stacks.
The original design was a two-cell, gable-entry plan, which was extended in two stages to the left end. The building is two stories high and has a four-window front with a gable end facing the street. There is a plain door inserted to the center right and a four-panel door to the center left. The ground floor includes a three-light horizontal-sliding sash window to the end right, with casement windows to the center and left. On the first floor, there are three-light casement windows to the left of center and horizontal-sliding sashes to the right. All windows feature large panes and timber lintels above them. The farmhouse has a stepped eaves course and chimney stacks located to the left of center and center left.
