Description
Eskdale Villa is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from tooled and herringbone-tooled sandstone and features a pantile roof. The building has a central-entrance plan that is one and a half rooms deep, with a rear service wing. It is two stories tall and has a three-window front, along with a one-story lean-to wing on the left side. The entrance consists of a six-panel door situated beneath a divided overlight, all framed within a pedimented doorcase. The windows are all 16-pane sashes, complete with painted sills and lintels. The villa has coped gables and shaped kneelers, as well as end stacks. Additionally, there is a small recessed window in a painted surround located in the lean-to.
