Description
Piethorn Farmhouse is a house that consists of two builds from the late 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble with hammer dressed sandstone herringbone tooled quoins, and features pantile and Welsh slate roofs, along with stone and brick stacks. The building has two sections: the low end with a passage entry to the left and the main section to the right.
The main section is two storeys high and has three first floor windows, with the entrance located at the rear. It features 16-pane sash windows in herringbone tooled surrounds throughout, gable coping, and shaped kneelers, along with end stacks. The low end is also two storeys tall and has a single first floor window. There is a 20th-century board door to the right and a casement window to the left, with another casement window on the first floor. This section also has gable coping and an end stack.
