Description
The barns, gin-gang, and byres located to the north and east of Overdale Farmhouse are agricultural buildings dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared stone and feature pantiled roofs, with some sections renewed in galvanised iron.
To the east, there is a one-storey pigsty with Dutch doors. North of the pigsty is a one-storey stable and cartshed range, which is partly filled in and includes a segment-headed cart entrance at the north end. Facing the farmhouse is a two-storey barn that has a pentagonal gin-gang on its north side. To the west, there is a range of barns and byres that are one and two storeys high. The upper windows of these structures are small pivoted sashes with glazing bars, and there are Dutch doors below.
