Description
Ivy Cottage, The Holmstead, Seawood View, and Topcliffe is a row of cottages that may have originally been two houses with a central passage. They date from the late 18th century or early 19th century and were restored in 1938. The cottages are built from coursed squared stone and feature a pantiled roof with stone copings, along with brick and stone chimneys. They are two storeys high and each has two windows. Ivy Cottage has Yorkshire sash windows beneath keyed lintels, while the other cottages have tripartite replaced sashes with glazing bars. Each cottage has a six-panel door, which is top glazed, and is sheltered by small, bracketed stone hoods. There is a shouldered arch leading to the central passage.
