Description
Wood View is a house from the mid to late 18th century, which has been raised at a later date. The front is made of dressed sandstone, while the right gable end and rear are constructed from coursed rubble sandstone. It has a pantile roof with brick stacks. The house features a 3-cell, hearth-passage plan and is two storeys high with a three-window front. There is a four-panel door located to the left of centre. To the right of the door, there is a three-light, large-pane horizontal-sliding sash window, with similar two-light windows at each end. The first-floor windows align with those below. All windows have stone sills and vertically tooled lintels. The right end has a coped gable and a kneeler. There are stacks at the right end and left of centre. At the rear, there is a cross-passage door to the right of centre.
