Description

Bay Cottage is a house that may date back to the 18th century, although the exact date is uncertain. It features incised rendered walls and a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with one wide bay and a narrow canted side bay. On the right side, there is a four-panel door beneath a bracketed gabled hood with bargeboards. The windows are sash style, with margin lights and projecting stone cills. There is a dormer that has rendered cheeks and paired similar sashes. The canted section includes a low, small bow window, which may be for lighting a cellar stair, and one small sash window on each floor above. The cottage is included for its group value.
