Description

Old Ralph Cross is a wayside cross, possibly dating from the 11th century. It is made of hard gritstone and features a large, worn, roughly-shaped base. The cross is a monolith, standing about 6 feet tall, with much-weathered interlace designs covering the front and back. It has been broken in one place and repaired, and it is cemented into its socket.
