Description

There are three boundary stones located on the border with Westerdale County Parish, approximately 500 meters north of White Cross. These stones date from around 1835 and are made of hard sandstone. Each stone is a square-section post, standing about 1 meter high. The east face of each stone is inscribed with a "D" for Danby, while the west face is marked with a "W" for Westerdale. Although the Ordnance Survey map indicates more stones to the south, these were not observed.
