Description
Park House is a former school, now a house, built in the early 19th century with an extension added in 1847. The building is constructed of sandstone ashlar and features projecting quoins, a Westmorland slate roof, and stone stacks. It has a central section flanked by two cross wings and a classroom extension at the rear. The structure is two storeys high with five bays, arranged in a 1:3:1 pattern. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door beneath a divided oblong fanlight, with sash windows featuring glazing bars on either side. The first floor has six-pane sashes throughout. There is a decorative band at the eaves level and semi-circular sunk panels on the gables of the cross wings, which also have gable coping and ridge stacks.
