Description

BOLTBY - SE 48 SE 6/6 Outbuilding approx. 20 metres to west of Raventhorpe Mill GV II Outbuilding. Probably early C19. Coursed squared stone, pantile roof. Pair of pigsties with hen-house above. North (yard) gable: two board stable doors, that to left with tooled lintel, that to right with a shallower stone lintel, a segment-headed trough-chute to its right and a low board door with stone lintel above. Left return: a trough-chute at right end. Right return: an arched bird hole high up which, originally, would probably have had a ramp up to it for bird access. Included for group value.
