Outbuilding Approximately 20 Metres To West Of Raventhorpe Mill

This outbuilding, located approximately 20 metres to the west of Raventhorpe Mill, is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and features a pantile roof. The building comprises a pair of pigsties with a hen-house above. On the north gable facing the yard, there are two stable doors: the left door has a tooled lintel, while the right door has a shallower stone lintel. To the right of the right door, there is a segment-headed trough-chute, and a low board door with a stone lintel above it. The left side of the building has a trough-chute at the right end. On the right side, there is an arched bird hole positioned high up, which would have originally had a ramp for bird access. This outbuilding is included for its group value.
