Description

No. 4 on the North Side is a cottage dating from around 1800. The exterior is rendered and scored to imitate ashlar stone. It has a renewed clay pantile roof featuring stone gable coping and a block kneeler. The cottage is two storeys high with two windows. There is an off-centre doorway that has a mid-20th century door. To the left of the doorway, there is a shop window containing a quadripartite horizontal sash with shutter hinges. On the right side and on the first floor, there are late 19th century sash windows, each with painted sills. Rendered masonry benches are located in front of each ground-floor window. A stack is positioned at the left end of the building.
