Description
Barbers Cottage is a house that was also used as a warehouse, dating from the early 19th century. It is built of red brick with rusticated stone quoins and has a pantiled roof. The front elevation features a gabled design with two storeys, an attic, and a basement, and has two windows. In the attic, there is a Yorkshire sash window with a loading pulley above it. The first floor has sash windows with glazing bars set beneath stone lintels. On the ground floor, there is one narrow window and one four-light window. Access to the six-panel door, which has a top glazed panel, is via four steps. The waterfront elevation retains its original windows, although one has been blocked.
